The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque brand has been introduced for the first time in 2012 as part of the compact-luxury-crossover expansion of the market and was dubbed as an immediately luxury SUV. As the brand quickly became popular there was a slight update in 2014 in order to keep the model afloat and continue the popularity which has been brought on it. The 2018 model year is going to do the same as there are a few quirks that have been enhanced and changed for the brand not making any drastic moves at the same time.
The exterior of the car is going to make just a few changes and is not going to change a whole lot of the Evoque. The biggest news is actually the release of the new lineup of engines that the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is going to use. Sadly, although this rumor is true, none of the new engines are going to be available for the US market.
2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is battling it out with the new version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the latest Audi Q3 which pose a great threat to the Evoque. It was a great car on its initial release but they still have to do something in order to keep it competitive.
2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Exterior
The basic exterior appearance of the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is mostly going to be carried over for this car. Btu the model is going to be tweaked up a bit to keep it competitive. The reshaped headlights are a nice new touch and the distinctive LED daytime running lights signature has also been added. The bumper has been reshaped as well and is wider while the wider tow-eye covers and added larger air intakes have also been featured on this car.
The slimline LED lights were renovated here as well and the grille also has a light refresh to it but not that much different compared to the previous version. It includes a horizontal new fine-mesh pattern, seen on the standard models, while the Dynamic trim offers a hexagonal grille design with a more prominent mesh design.
New hood vents are available only for the Autobiography models and the five-door HSE Dynamic trims, which were only available for the coupe versions before. The rear end features a new tailgate spoiler and also a completely new set of LED taillights with revised graphics. It also comes with a new Gesture Tailgate allowing an easier access and an easier way to open it. Also offered for the 2018 are three new exterior colors which already add to the immense offer that the Range Rover Evoque has already had.
2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Interior
The interior of the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque features equally subtle but noticeable changes. The door casings and the seats have been revised and is a very noticeable part of the car. Also added are a new InControl infotainment system which has a 8-inch touchscreen. The instrument cluster has been revised as well and there are more soft-touch materials and also new colors available as well. The model also provides leather ebony seats as standard ones and they also feature eight-way power adjustment in their base trim. The upper trims offer additionally 14-way power adjustments, massage seats and much more premium materials on them.
As optional part of equipment you get an SD-card-based navigation system, rear-seat entertainment with two 8-inch screens, a satellite-based system and 11- or 17-speaker audio systems. The changes made to the inside are by no means revolutionary nor do they represent the next stage in the evolution of luxury car design, but are a welcoming addition as they do make the car up to date and keep its position in the market as a very competitive model.
