Bringing back the 2019 BMW 7 Series brand was one of the most important traits that the company wanted to do. The vehicle has been announced for remodeling and will be featured as an updated version for the 2019 model year. The car is in its fifth-generation and is a model which will now update most of its feature and carry them on to the newest year. The vehicle will in come with expanded abilities and will generally get to be a more proficient car. The news broke with the emergence of a number of leaked images and spy photos which helps us see how the 2019 BMW 7 Series is going to be designed as.
The BMW 7 Series has been out on the market for more than 40 years now and is one of the veterans of the game. It is probably one of BMW’s prize possessions and has spawned a total of five generations to its name. The last generation model made its way to the market in 2016 and they are trying to keep it fresh as the newest additions for it have already been announced. The model will simply adopt some minor changes for the exterior but will be extensively updated on the inside as they mainly want to add better technology and include some of their latest equipment which has proven to be one of the more prolific choices for the people. Another great addition is the use of a Carbon Cone passenger cell which will help and reduce the weight of the car by 190 pounds. Another great effort to help with the fuel economy and performance of the vehicle.
The 2019 BMW 7 Series is going to be the best possible choice for drivers, both as a sedan and as a hauler. The brand has exemplified these characteristics from its inception and is going to continue to do this and do it in an even better way. The car will bring you all the joy that you want with a combination of power and comfort that not a lot of other models have. The panoramic roof is a standard choice for all the versions and 7 Series models, but the 2019 one is going to provide a special offer through an optional Panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof. Probably one of the more interesting additions to the already rich specter that the newest 7 Series offers.
Now when the model is all but confirmed, let’s see what the offer is going to be and what are the changes that the 2019 BMW 7 Series has made.
When is the Release Date of the 2019 BMW 7 Series Coming?
The approaching 2019 BMW 7 Series model has just been announced, but it will take more time to get to the actual release stage. There is still enough time for them to establish all of the changes that they have in plan and they plan to release the model somewhere by the end of 2021. The official showcasing might just happen this year. It will be a great new promotion for the model which will try to start the sales in as fast as possible. The sales numbers have always been good for this model and we only see them improving. The market is tight and there are not a lot of people who can afford the model, but the established fan base is enough for this veteran in the field to continue soldiering on.
2019 BMW 7 Series Prices
Being that the 2019 BMW7 Series is still a part of its fifth generation of moles, people have expected a slight increase in price. But it appears that they are going to price it much higher than initially anticipated. This still makes it a usual kind of a price but the enormous jump will not be liked by so many people. The base 740i trim is predicted to be priced now $81,300, which is an increase of $7,300 compared to the previous car. The 750i xDrive is going to be given for a figure of $97,400, while there is still no word on the 740e xDrive plug-in hybrid. Either way this kind of an increase in pricing has not been something that we were really expecting but all of the added equipment will make the model range so high that it might not be as favorable as you think.
What will the New 2019 BMW 7 Series Look Like?
The newest 2019 BMW 7 Series is still waiting on its unveiling and the model will be seen sometime in the coming year. But fortunately we managed to get a glimpse of the car and there are already many leaked pictures circling the net. What we are happy to say is that the vehicle is going to go through its normal evolutionary stage and step into a new kind of a design era. It will not change so much compared to the one that we have now but it will still be something new and bring forth innovative features. If you have seen how the latest BMW models have changed, then you will have an idea about how the 7 Series expands. It will simply use the current design language and adopt it so you get the redesigned new model that way.
What we were able to see is that the front end of the 2019 7 Series will still sport the familiar kidney grille design, but it will be flanked by new headlights. The light elements are much narrower and are wider compared to the previous car and it manages to change the front end a bit and take it to a new direction. The lower fascia has changed as well and has some aggressive features which make it look extremely good. The profile of the car will be kept the same but we have notice only one minor difference. That is the addition of lower chrome accents which is the only thing added. As for the rear end of the car, it adopts the largest change for the 2019 version. It uses sportier taillights and also comes with a short decklid. The newest exhaust system is integrated into the back and makes the overall look of the car more aggressive. This is a modern take on the 2019 BMW 7 Series which is bound to work and help the car crossover to the next point in its development in a natural way.
Much Better Interior for the 2019 BMW 7 Series
The newest 2019 BMW 7 Series is supposed to come with a newly updated interior. This means that the inside will features numerous updates which are going to focus on new technology and better comfort. But since this is a luxury car, comfort is going to be the main focus of the car. This is particularly going to be reserved for the rear passengers which already have enough rear spacing to use and it can be expanded with the announced Rear Executive Lounge Seating Package, which comes with some exceptional new additions that are making the car a whole lot better. The interior comes with a panoramic roof as standard, but a Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof will be offered optimally.
As far as the tech is concerned, it all starts with an iDrive 5.0 that uses Gesture Control. You can use your hands and perform different kind of gestures to operate navigation, volume control, answering your phone and plenty others with just a flick of your fingers or a wave of your hand. As far as other sort of included equipment it adds a Touch Command Tablet, HVAC infotainment, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond system. Additionally, the vehicle will make a bunch of customization options available that people will be able to choose from to make their vehicles better. These will be announced promptly.
There are currently two trims announced for the 2019 BMW 7 Series. This also means two different drivetrain options which the vehicle will use. So we have the rear-drive 740i and the all-wheel-drive 750i xDrive versions. The first one will use a 3.0-liter, TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine which promises to return 320 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, while the second version is going to use a 4.4-liter V-8 engine. The second option is a stronger one which has been measured to output 445 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Both of the engines are going to be combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There are not news about the hybrid version so far but there are rumors about it being the 740e xDrive.
0-60 mph and Top Speed
As far as the specs for the engine of the 2019 BMW 7 Series, they are currently transferred from the current model. There are no improvement and it seems that the model will work fine with those. The acceleration ability of the car is currently at 5.4 seconds for the 740 version, while the 750 is able to reach 0-60 mph much faster or rather in 4.3 seconds. Also the top speed is going to be limited to 130 mph for both versions. This allows for a perfect acceleration ability for the new range of 7 Series models and the luxury segment as well.
Are There Any Improvements Made for the Fuel Economy?
The newest fuel economy specs for the 2019 BMW 7 Series do not really show a whole lot of improvements. It is more than likely that they are going to keep the rates completely the same. The model is now able to produce a rating of 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, but with the introduction of a possible hybrid the numbers could be reduced. But more on that with the announcement of the powertrain.
Size, Dimensions and Trunk Capacity
As far as we know, the 2019 BMW 7 Series is not going to change the size of the car. This news has not been announced and the car surely does not look as if it has grown. The model has changed in the crossover from the fourth to fifth generation models, but so far the vehicle is not going to do that for the update. The vehicle has gotten bigger already and not it is time for it to become better and it will be done with the technological updates and stylistic changes, leaving the size as it is. The length of the car is 206.6 Inches with the wheelbase amounting to 126.4 Inches. The width of the car is 74.9 Inches and the height 58.2 Inches. As far as the inside goes, the passengers are able to enjoy a capacity of 115 cu ft while the truck space goes to 18.2 ft. It is comfortable for the passengers and at the same time it gives enough room for the stuff that you want to bring.
Safety Equipment and Improvements
The newest 2019 BMW 7 Series is going to transfer the current stuff but will add a few things to improve the safety. The car was mainly seen as already a secure car to begin with so the model did not need a whole lot to get better. But they are merely going to reuse the old one with a few improved and updated parts. There could be some advanced equipment involved here which will be very much useful to be added.
Rivals and Other Possible Vehicles in the Segment
The updates made for the 2019 BMW 7 Series are certainly going to make the car be better, but the competition is not going to stand there idly and just let things happen. The 7 Series will bring forth an update which will keep it fresh and enable it to showcase some fabulous pieces of technology that they could not have debuted in a better way. Through the 7 Series these additions will only be made to be better and greater. Now the competition is gearing up as well and the German rivals are always the key here. Many of the cars the BMW is facing come from a familiar market, and the likes of Audi A8 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class models are going to be a tough cookie to crack. Either way the newest offer which the 7 Series brings will put more options and at the same time make a competition for the cars that are currently seen on the market.
