2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Release Date, Price and Redesign

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 review

The details about the refresh of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 have been released. The model was shown at the latest Texas Fair Show and it was there where we were able to witness all the new details about this car. We cannot say that we are disappointed because we were expecting more, but the Silverado is still a useful model that brings all the details and utility that we have expected to get from it.

The interior has not changed almost one bit so the exterior takes in the majority of the changes made for it. The inside will still offer a ton of amenities that are standard and useful for the users, but it is the exterior that carries more weight here when it comes to this year’s redesign.

Besides the fresh new look of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the model also received a new set of powertrains. These are going to be featured only for mid-lever and high-lever models but it is still good when we know that we have more options to think about.

Our review covers all the basics about this model in detail and will help you get a better understanding of the car’s performance.

What is the Price for the Truck?

The new 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stays pretty much close to the price that it has now. The base model is offered at a base MSRP level of $28,290 for a single cab, standard bed configuration, while the Silverado Crew Cab with 4WD and the High Country trim is the priciest configuration that you can get and it comes available at $54,510. What are the Exterior Changes?

The biggest difference for the exterior design of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is more angular curves. The grille and bumper design for the previous models used straight lines and now when it has been given a curved lower line and curved grille inserts it looks a lot more aggressive. It also adds HID premium headlights for the lower-spec WT and LT trims while the LTZ, LTZ/Z71, and High County trim levels get the LEDs. The LTZ and above trim levels have full LED exterior lighting and all levels come with LED daytime running lights.

The base WT trim will add a black plastic grille and black bumper. The LT version is loaded with chrome details and very large chrome wheels. The LTZ provides fuller LED headlights, turn signals, fog lights and taillights. This is also included for the High Country but it also adds bespoke chrome grille inserts. The most distinctive trim is the LTZ with the Z71 package which has a monochromatic look.

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Interior

The interior of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will only receive a software update and that’s it. But even with these scarce changes, we are happy to see them finally arrive. A software update was something that we have been expecting to get a long time ago so the model will add Apple CarPlay for its mid and higher-level trims and if you want Android Auto you can upgrade to 7-inch infotainment touch screen so you can use it.

The flat load floor behind the first row of seats is still available and the rear bench can be raised so more interior storage is made. Further additions are places for storing your things, cup holders, USB ports and 12-volt outlets and this time there is even a 110-volt AC power outlet as well.
