2021 Lexus RC 350 review

They are redesigning the 2021 Lexus RC 350 model. But it will not be as big as a redesign as you would expect as they are merely including a refresh for the current model. The pictures of this vehicle were spotted and it we quickly learned that the model will get its new face with some refreshed features.

The RC 350 slots just between the RC 300 and the RC F versions. It is a two-door luxury sports coup and comes available in both rear- or all-wheel-drive configurations. On the inside it offers seating for four people and besides the standard set of feature it offers a slew of optional ones which make this car even greater.

What is new for the 2021 RC 350 version are just some small enhancement which mostly concentrate on the aesthetics. It will offer new finishes and provide some nip and tucks here and there. The model is supposed to make its debut soon and with the release date nearing it was due time to provide a review for it.

The 2021 Lexus RC 350 is expected to make its debut by the end of 2020. Although the car is slanted for the 2021 series of cars it will be production ready by the end of this year. This facelift is not going to take too long to make so it is easily expected for it to come out earlier than its predicted release date.

What is the Potential Price?

The new 2021 Lexus RC 350 will host a similar price compared to the current version. In fact the base MSRP for the RWD version is 43,010 USD while the AWD ones costs 45,175 USD and the new ones will be almost the same.

Exterior Updates

The exterior design of the 2021 Lexus RC 350 will retain its base looks and appearance. The design is pretty much the same and this facelift will freshen up the car for a little while longer. The updates include a completely new designed grille which comes with a black finish. It will also provide new exterior colors available which come as optional and there are new finishes for the wheels as well. You can make a choice between the 18-inch alloy ones or 19-inch ones and besides a different finish they also host a different type of a design. The front end is also updated with the addition of triple-beam LED headlights while the rear one has standard Yamaha performance dampers.

Interior Design

2021 Lexus RC 350 interior

The interior of the 2021 Lexus RC 350 will update the inside a bit. The interior dash is separated in operational and display zones. The upper part has the 7.0-inch center screen and the instrument panel, while the touchpad-driven Remote Touch interface is integrated in the center console. The new steering wheel has a somewhat of an elliptical shape while the new seats have different upholstery this time. Some design decisions were out of place with the last model and will be fixed here. There were some pieces of the dash which were in a way out of place, but were luckily fixed here so it all looks better. All in all, they did manage to make the car look great than it was expected.

Powertrain Choice

The 2021 Lexus RC 350 will still draw power from the same type of engine as before. The utilized offer includes a 3.5-liter V-6 engine which is going to be combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, for the rear-wheel drive models, or a six-speed automatic transmission, for the all-wheel drive models.  The output is measured at 306 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque.

Fuel Economy Ratings

The new 2021 Lexus RC 350 does not do anything to expand the fuel economy. Thus the ratings remain completely the same when it comes to fuel consumption. The model is able to consume 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. It does balance it out compared to the competition cars and we still do not get extraordinary fuel stats from this model.

The new 2021 Lexus RC 350 will not change the dimensions. The model feels okay with the current specs and since this is a facelift there are no changes announced for now. The expansion might happen only with the new models or new generation vehicle which will probably address this matter, but for now as there are no needs to do it and because this is a minor update for the car, the size and shape will remain the same.
