2021 Nissan Juke Release Date, Price and Specs

2021 Nissan Juke review

The new release date for this 2021 Nissan Juke will not be that different from this year’s model. There will be no need for the total redesign since the model is very young and this year’s model has already got a new platform, better fuel-efficient engines, and modernized interior.

From the new 2021 release, we expect to be somewhere similar to the newest one but with different interior and exterior. Engine-wise, it is going to be more superior, considering the newest improvements in hybrid technology.

Update: If you decide to get yourself the latest 2021 Nissan Juke, you will certainly get a fun ride out of it. What the newest model is going to transfer from the previous one is the fact that this one is still going to give us a perfect ride. The model is fun and funky to be in and makes driving the same. The 2021 version will still give you what the previous Juke had. It has been enhanced over the years and it appears that now they are in a place that they always wanted to be. It is an urban crossover model which is a bit on the smallish side, but not too small. Actually we may say that it is just the right amount of small. On the other hand, it does look beefy and has the elements of an SUV. But this is only for the aesthetics as the car does not really have any off-road capability to talk about.

With the recent news about the 2021 Nissan Juke, some updated information has been released. We present them to you here so you can understand what to expect from this model.

2021 Nissan Juke Release Date And Price

Since the release is far away and there is no official data, we can presume that the 2021 Nissan Juke release date will be somewhere around February of 2021, and expect some heavy campaign during the summer of 2017. The 2021 Nissan Juke price will go from $20,000 to $30,000 depending on the model you choose and it will go higher if you choose some additional equipment to go with your model.

Update: When the 2021 Nissan Juke was announced, many of you have immediately started to wonder when the vehicle is going to come out. The latest update confirms that the vehicle is still set for release within the start of 2021. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to see it by the end of January. The release date will most likely come by mid-February 2021.

2021 Nissan Juke Exterior

Like we have already said, the complete platform was changed fairly recently, and we believe that the 2021 Nissan Juke exterior will continue to look good, no matter what. The sports lines are all over the vehicle and it maybe looks a little bit “over the top” in some areas. Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but there is something on the front that reminds me of the head of some insect. It is modern, but that front fascia, with V-shaped grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lights and wide body, is like nothing on the current market.

Designers really work hard to make a sporty look on any trim level you choose. They even got the rear door handle high up on the side of the door, and it gives an impression of a sport three-door coupe, and not a four-door compact SUV.

You will have slightly changed lower headlights, which will possibly be more like on the photos rendered on the basis of the Nissan Gripz concept than they are right now. The design is pretty good, but it’s just plane round and It needs some additional edginess to pair the overall look of the vehicle. That curve under the grille is awesome but the mask over the light needs some work or just the shape. They had an idea to make it look like a really car, and they did it perfectly, but there is something off.

LED turn signals are going to keep their original place, on the “heated” side mirrors. Taillights are also going to keep the current boomerang shape, with a small change in length. The upper line of the newly redesigned headlights is going to continue further to the doors to make a more cohesive look.

Or, Nissan could boldly take the entire Nissan Gripz concept from 2015 and implement it on the new 2021 Nissan Juke. That would make that car, the most desirable car in the world. Believe me.

2021 Nissan Juke Interior

The 2021 Nissan Juke Interior is not going to feel much different than the current version of the car. The interior is already well made and crafted to please any driver. From the cheapest to the most expensive version, you are going to see changes in the materials used for seats and some technical equipment.

The seats will go from the premium cloth on 2021 Nissan Juke S and 2021 Nissan Juke SV and heated and ventilated leather seats on 2021 Nissan Juke SL, to sports seats made of synthetic suede on 2021 Nissan Juke NISMO and 2021 Nissan Juke NISMO RS.

The rest of the equipment is a better audio system, back camera, JUKE NISMO RS special Tachometer, different color interior and more. All models are going to have the interior made to be something special, with specially designed mid-space between the seats which now resembles some motorcycle cues, soft trimmed instrument panels, a steering wheel trimmed with leather, SiriusXM satellite radio and Nissan Intelligent key with push-button ignition.

2021 Nissan Juke Engine

Some of the sources are mentioning totally new lineup for the 2021 Nissan Juke Engine. The new prognosis mentions four versions while we only have two for current models. New engines are:

  • 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, with 200hp;
  • 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline engine (or 1.6 liters 16 valve turbocharged four-cylinder DOHC)
  • 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine (much weaker version than the one meant for the Nissan ZEOD RC)
  • 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid DIG-T R combined with an electric motor. This formula was used on the already mentioned Nissan ZEOD RC at Le Mans. Of course, they will make some adjustments in order to make it weaker, because no one needs 400hp and an engine that weighs only 40kg.

And there is another option for the hybrid powertrain that was unveiled with the Nissan Gripz Concept which is, by the way, one of the most beautiful looking concepts… I think I have already said that, but some things need to be repeated in order to become a reality. The most beautiful concept…

Update: We have learned before that the 2021 Nissan Juke will continue to use the same 1.6-liter inline-four. But even though it is the same engine, it has a different performance. The updates which the engine has gone through include reshaped pistons which helped in increasing the compression rate, which has gone from 9.5:1 to 10.5:1. Also, internal friction and weight have been changed as well. The iron liners are no longer in use and the model will now bare spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores. It helps with the weight of the engine and also manages to give a different kind of performance for the vehicle.

Transmission choices for the 2021 Nissan Juke

Even though many of you have been hoping that the 2021 Nissan Juke gets new options for its transmission, the model will remain with only a sole transmission choice. Until 2014, Nissan Juke came with a six-speed manual and there are still engine options that could support this system. But the designers decided against it and we are left with only a CVT transmission choice. Thus fans that have been hoping for a change might be disappointed but this confirms the fact that the vehicle can only be had in this unique version.

Cargo and Interior Spacing

News about the size of the 2021 Nissan Juke also says that we are not going to get an increase in size. This is going to be specifically bad for the people are going to ride in the back. The front end of the car offers quite enough spacing so two full-grown individuals can ride without any trouble. When it comes to the back of the car, it remains as cramped as it has always been. The designees did not see the need to change the dimensions of the car so it will still be a tight squeeze when it comes to the back seats. The cargo bay offers 0.5 cubic feet of cargo room which could be expanded to 35.9 cubic feet when moving the seats.

The newest 2021 Nissan Juke is one of the most popular models in the segment and we are predicting great sales for it even now. It will probably remain in the top 10 list when it comes to sales in the compact segment. Our update will help you see the newest date about this car, but if you wish you can still read the initial review down below.

2021 Nissan Juke Summary

The all-new 2021 Nissan Juke will come either in the skin of the 2015 Gripz concept, which was obviously made to look like Juke, or if the Nissan is not brave enough they will stick to the current formula. Changed a thing here and thing there and you have a new model. Although it is too early for the total redesign since we only have the current model for six years now.
